K Style Gutter Facts To Know When Purchasing |

- When planning your K Style gutter system remember that for every 100 square feet of roof being drained, your gutter system will need 1 square inch of outlet/drop space per downspout.
- The standard size downspout typically use with 5" K Style gutter in the U.S. is 2x3 and will drain up to 186 gallons a minute
- Commercial size downspout typically used with 5" or 6" K Style gutter is 3x4 and will drain up to 434 gallons per minute
- Standard 5" K Style gutter can use either 2x3, 3x4 or 3" round downpipe
- 6" K Style gutter uses 3x4 downspout
- The best way to increase gutter
capacity is to add more downspouts
- Increasing the size of downspout or number of downspouts is an excellent recommendation for wide roof areas, heavy downpour areas, and for gutter systems that overflow.
- Most residential gutters should be pitched 1/4" drop every 10 feet towards the downspout. Always check fascia or eaves for levelness. When hanging gutter, drop a little water into it to make sure water flows in the proper direction.
- Gutter hanger spacing should be every 24"
